Information Security Analyst

• The - Information Security analyst  is a member of the aeCERT. Functions include real time visual representation of Global and Local threat trends and statistics and will also analyze incidents and perform Digital Forensics Examinations when needed. In addition to handling all reported cyber security incidents and production of investigation reports and perform tasks according to standards such as ISO 270001:2015 & ASCLD/LAB and maintain the requirements of those certifications.
• Reports directly to the Manager of Information Security Services on Security Incidents, Investigation Reports and Service Desk issues.
• Understands the policies, standards and guidelines appropriate to the Monitoring & Response business, technology and legal requirements and in accordance with aeCERT and TRA policies and procedures.
• Conducts real time visualization of Global & Local threat trends & statistics.
• Analyzes incidents as part of the CSIRT team as required (in line with aeCERT SLTs)
• Issues threat mitigation advice as required and in line with aeCERT SLTs

• Extensive knowledge of information security technology and the latest developments in the field of information security and related processes, target control and threat control for the benefit of response team information and information sources.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;
• Excellent understanding of how to issue threat mitigation advice and offer countermeasure advice where appropriate.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio); and
• Excellent technical report writing skills.
• Excellent ability to take on tasks simultaneously with attention to detail.
• Be able to handle sensitive matters with dignity and maintain confidentiality.
• Good time management skills.
• Willingness to work outside official working hours in the event of a serious accident that requires round-the-clock follow-up.
